Finding Your Way Around
Overview
This page introduces the layout of the Netzur IMBS operator portal so you can find any feature quickly. Once you know the three main areas — the left menu, the top bar and the main work area — every other guide will make sense.
Who Can Use This Feature
Everyone who signs in. The menu items you see depend on your role's permissions, so your screen may show fewer items than are described here.
Required Permissions
None to view the layout. Individual menu items appear only if your role allows them.
Prerequisites
- You are signed in.
The three main areas
1. The left menu (navigation)
The menu on the left is grouped into two headings:
- SITE NAVIGATION — day-to-day work: Dashboard · Networking · Packages · Subscribers · Vouchers & PINs · Finance · CRM · Tickets · Inventory · ACS (TR-069) · Monitoring · Reports · Tools
- CONFIG NAVIGATION — setup and administration: Config · Permissions
Some items open a sub-menu when selected (for example Networking expands to NAS, IPv4 Pool, IPv6 Pool and Zone / Node). Items you don't have permission for are hidden.
2. The top bar
Across the top of every page you'll find:
- Search Subscriber — a quick box to find a subscriber by name, username, phone or code.
- Notifications and Tickets icons — quick counts and shortcuts.
- Your account / site indicator — shows the account you're signed in as and the current site. This is also where you reach your profile, change password and log out.
- Back To Admin — appears only when you entered the operator view from the platform-admin area; it returns you there.
3. The main work area
The centre of the screen shows the page you selected — a list, a form, a dashboard or a report. Lists usually offer search, filters, sorting and per-row actions; forms are often split into tabs.
Step-by-Step: open a feature
- Find the section in the left menu (for example Subscribers).
- If it has a sub-menu, select the specific item you need.
- The feature opens in the main work area.
- Use the breadcrumb or the menu to move to another feature at any time.
Important Notes
- Your role controls everything you see. If a menu item or button described in these guides is missing, your account may not have that permission — ask your administrator.
- If your organisation runs several sites/branches, always check the site indicator at the top so you are working in the right one.
Common Mistakes
- Assuming a feature is unavailable when it is simply hidden by permissions.
- Working in the wrong site when multiple sites exist.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A menu item is missing | Your role lacks that permission, or the feature is turned off for your site | Ask your administrator to review your role in Permissions → Roles. |
| The menu looks different from a colleague's | Different roles | This is expected — each role shows only its allowed items. |
