IPTV and OTT Packs
Overview
If your ISP also sells television or streaming alongside internet, you can attach it to an internet package:
- IPTV — television subscription (delivered through your IPTV provider).
- OTT — over-the-top streaming bundles (for example OTTplay, PlayboxTV, Watcho).
IPTV and OTT are not separate packages you create on their own. Instead, you link a provider pack to an existing internet package on that package's Edit screen. Once linked, the package shows an IPTV or OTT badge in the Packages list, and subscribers on that plan get the TV/streaming service along with their internet.
Who Can Use This Feature
Managers and administrators.
Required Permissions
- Package → Update to link or unlink IPTV/OTT on a package.
Prerequisites
- The IPTV and/or OTT provider integration is configured in Config, so provider packs are available to choose from.
- Your site's business type enables these features (otherwise the panels don't appear).
How to Access
- Go to Packages, open the Internet tab, and Edit the internet package you want to add TV/streaming to.
- Scroll to the OTT and IPTV panels near the bottom of the package.
- Expand the panel you want and turn on its Enabled toggle.
- Choose the provider pack from the searchable OTT Package / IPTV Package list.
- Save the package.
Packages → (open an internet package) → Edit → OTT / IPTV panel
What you configure
Each of the OTT and IPTV panels has just two controls:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| OTT Enabled / IPTV Enabled | Turns the streaming/TV service on for this package and reveals the pack selector. |
| OTT Package / IPTV Package | A searchable list of the provider packs configured for your site — pick the one to bundle with this internet plan. |
The list of available packs comes from your provider integration (set up in Config), not typed in here.
What Happens After Saving
The internet package now carries the chosen IPTV/OTT pack, and the Packages list shows an IPTV/OTT badge on it. Subscribers on the plan are subscribed to the service. ⚠ Linking or unlinking a pack may call the provider's system to activate or cancel that service for affected customers, so expect a short delay while the provider responds.
Important Notes
- The OTT and IPTV panels appear only when the provider integration is set up and the site's business type allows them.
- Because these actions reach an outside provider, test on one package first and expect a short delay.
- Removing the link (turning the panel off) can cancel the service for subscribers on that plan.
Common Mistakes
- Looking for a separate "IPTV/OTT" add form — there isn't one; link the pack on an internet package's Edit screen.
- Choosing the wrong provider pack, so subscribers get the wrong channels/apps.
- Linking a pack before the provider integration is configured, so no packs appear in the list.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| OTT/IPTV panel missing on a package | Integration off or business type doesn't allow it | Check the IPTV/OTT config and site settings. |
| Pack list is empty | Provider integration not configured | Set up the provider integration in Config first. |
| Linking fails | Provider rejected the request | Confirm the provider mapping and integration credentials in Config. |
