Change Group & Zone/Node
Overview
These actions change how a subscriber is organised on your network — not their plan. Use them to keep grouping, alerting and reporting accurate as customers move or are re-categorised:
- Change Group — move the subscriber to a different subscriber group.
- Change Zone / Node — reassign the network area (zone) and device (node) they belong to.
Required Permissions
- Subscriber → Change Group and Change Zone respectively.

Change Group
Other Actions ▾ → Change Group:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Group | The new group (type-ahead from your group list). |
| Remark | Audit note. |
Groups organise subscribers and can drive group-based permissions and reporting.
Change Zone / Node
Other Actions ▾ → Change Node/Zone:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Zone | The new zone (searchable). |
| Node | The node within that zone. |
| Remark | Audit note. |
Reassigning zone/node affects area-based grouping, outage alerts, reporting, and — if the zone uses it — LibreQoS shaping.
Important Notes
- These are organisational changes — they don't change the subscriber's plan, speed or price.
- Getting Zone/Node right matters for outage alerting and area reports.
- Each change is logged with your Remark in the Audit Timeline.
