Change Group & Zone/Node

Overview

These actions change how a subscriber is organised on your network — not their plan. Use them to keep grouping, alerting and reporting accurate as customers move or are re-categorised:

  • Change Group — move the subscriber to a different subscriber group.
  • Change Zone / Node — reassign the network area (zone) and device (node) they belong to.

Required Permissions

  • Subscriber → Change Group and Change Zone respectively.

Subscribers → (open a subscriber) → Other Actions ▾

Change Group

Other Actions ▾ → Change Group:

FieldDescription
GroupThe new group (type-ahead from your group list).
RemarkAudit note.

Groups organise subscribers and can drive group-based permissions and reporting.

Change Zone / Node

Other Actions ▾ → Change Node/Zone:

FieldDescription
ZoneThe new zone (searchable).
NodeThe node within that zone.
RemarkAudit note.

Reassigning zone/node affects area-based grouping, outage alerts, reporting, and — if the zone uses it — LibreQoS shaping.

Important Notes

  • These are organisational changes — they don't change the subscriber's plan, speed or price.
  • Getting Zone/Node right matters for outage alerting and area reports.
  • Each change is logged with your Remark in the Audit Timeline.
